Alia Azmat, Ph.D.

I am a behavioral health professional who enjoys identifying, designing, building, and implementing novel learning and capacity-building programming for mental health users and their clinicians.

My work has centered on understanding how mental health service utilization and outcomes are informed by identity, culture, stigma, and lived experience. My strengths include identifying recurring gaps and professional development needs among clinicians and then helping to mitigate risk due to these gaps.

I have worked across several sectors (i.e., higher education, non-profit, private practice) and find the best solutions are developed when compassion, collaboration, and creativity inform the strategic framework. I have a particular interest in prioritizing initiatives which are developing solutions for sustainable work practices for behavioral health professionals with marginalized identities.

I am looking to translate my expertise to facilitate systemic change in the mental health field by partnering with mental health, business, and wellness leaders looking to design sustainable people-centered solutions. I would love to connect if you are looking for thought partnership around well-being and organizational change.
